A Dating App for Restaurant Patrons

When looking for love it's important to find someone who shares the same interests and values as you, but how about restaurants? This felt like a fun idea to explore because I have always been taught that the best way to show love is to share is to share a meal.

There's a lot of niche apps on the market at the moment, but I am not aware of one that is restaurant specific. I also think it would be fun to try this out after COVID ends and restaurants are looking to bring traffic back into their dining rooms.
There is quite the range of subjects for dating apps. From religion to proximity to what type of relationship they are looking for. Users are bound to find something that could appeal or interest them.

Some of the apps I have shown above are:
- Align: Analyzing Zodiac Compatibility to Make Love Matches
- Happn: Missed Connections Based on Real Life Interactions
- Bristlr: Connecting "those with beards to those who want to stroke beards."
- Wingman: Connecting frequent fliers with potential partners before and during their flight as well as once they reach their destination.
- Twindog: Uses the Tinder-like swiping mechanics to facilitate meetings between like-minded dog owners and their four-legged companions.
- Hater: Matches its users based the things they hate. The app shows users a variety of people, places and things (from Donald Trump to pickles) and provides the option to love, hate, like or dislike.
Of all the apps above the closest comparison would be Rendeevoo.

Rendeevoo wants to cut out the small talk required by Tinder and other popular dating apps that follows being matched with someone.

The interface provides users with an experience not unlike that of e-commerce, requiring individuals to place "an order" with a prospective date and check-out as if they were shopping. If the prospective date says yes, the two meet at the bar at the given time, where the drinks will be waiting.

This intriguing new dating app is a curious convergence of speed dating and innovative matchmaking apps like Tinder.
By offering a menu that's discounted or exclusive to the dating app users, the users can order their meal and get everything set up before they even arrive at the restaurant. Then from that point on they can focus their attention on the date and enjoying the food.

Bon apetit!
So now instead of just listing in your profile that you love tacos, you can instead eat your favorite tacos with your favorite person too.
